This piece was designed with the challenge of creating a site-specific piece for personally influential experiences had during the Tyler Metals Workshop during the summer of 2014. Drawing inspiration from the Avebury Stone Circle, a monolithic pagan stone structure in England's countryside, this two finger ring considers aspects of the monolithic nature of each stone, and the sheep who live among the stones. Particularly interested in exploring the highway road which completely bisects the stone circle, the wearer's hand acts as a bisecting plane to the metal monolith.

Designed during an obsessive fascination with the American Dustbowl, this bangle is referential of choking layers of dust, microscopic images of dust and dust mites, and the affliction of dust pneumonia.

Working through the concept of positive vs. negative- dark vs. light- the inverse/converse design of these pieces is referential of the feelings of remembering/forgetting— while the etched pattern of the silver and forged arms face outwards, the memory escapes from the wearer; as they turn in, the memory haunts her.

Again deriving from an overwhelming interest in the American Dustbowl, the organic, finger-like shapes of this ring clutch together to mimic choking dust storms and the almost-certain grasp of death for both the land and the families on it, while the steep, bright peak references the promised solace of moving Westward.
